3/4/2015 - An update to Suffield’s Survey of Historical and Architectural Resources is underway
The Town of Suffield is pleased to announce that it has received a $30,000 grant from the State Historic Preservation Office to update Suffield’s current Survey of Historical and Architectural Resources, prepared in 1979 by the Capitol Region Council of Governments. When completed, the survey will be posted as a link on the Town of Suffield’s website so that the public and residents will have far greater access to and understanding of Suffield’s rich architectural heritage. A field representative from Heritage Consultants will soon be seen in town photographing and documenting structures citywide. The Suffield Historic District Commission will be holding a public information meeting on April 6th, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. at the Suffield Police Station (911 Mountain Road) to present details of the survey and answer any questions that Suffield residents might have.
